What is the Alliance Dao?

The Alliance DAO isa community of Web3 stakeholders. Members include founders, code auditors, lawyers, trading firms, venture funds, exchanges and other service providers. Leading Web3 experts and service providers contribute to Alliance to help startup founders and to get access to deal flow, partnerships, insights and more.

How many Web3 startups are in alliance Dao?

Twice a year, Alliance DAO brings in web3 founders for a three-month program. The current cohort had a record 1,692 applications, up 77.5% from its previous cohort, Qiao Wang, a core contributor at Alliance DAO, said during the event. Of that number, only 16 startups made the cut and graduated from the program.

What does Dao stand for?

What the new moniker means for the newly minted decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is somewhat TBD. Alliance said it will “start to take shape” in the months ahead with governance documents and explanations of “what services it will provide.” Membership details are also forthcoming.

What happened to the first Dao?

The first-ever DAO, which was simply called The DAO, raised more than $150 million to build a kind of crowdfunded investment firm, then went up in flames amid a host of legal, governance and security problems. Similar issues have plagued other DAOs since then.
